Set a time before you open a room — a single evening cup, not the whole night. Stand up. The orchids do not keep score of how long you stayed.

On-screen counters are scenery. They are not a living, not a plan, not something to chase. If you feel rushed, irritated, or tempted to treat the round as more than play, close the tab.

When to stop

• You are not of age, not sober, or not in a state to choose calmly.
• Play is crowding sleep, work, or the people in the next room.
• The hour no longer feels kind.
